Solidarity Food Access Grant

If you live in Newark, Irvington, Hillside or Elizabeth, or have an organization with access to green space you can apply to receive a Food Access Grant. Food Access Grants provide food planters to families or garden beds to organizations at no cost. Our food planters and garden beds have the capacity to grow upwards of 20-30 pounds of food per year when properly managed. Produce may include vegetables, fruits or culinary and medicinal herbs. Applications For the 2023 growing season must be submitted between February 15 and March 15 to be considered. Families and organizations not eligible for the Food Access grant can purchase food planters/garden beds directly from us. Prices will vary depending on the size of beds or planter and the location where they are to be delivered and built. Food Access Grant are made possible by the contributions of our collaborators, organizers, volunteers, interns and people like you.
